Where this data comes from

Elector records come from the electoral registry published by the Lebanese Ministry of the Interior. That register is a public record.

The app shows dated snapshots — currently 2018 and 2025. A snapshot is never edited in place: when a newer register is published it is added as another year, so a figure you saw last month still means what it meant then.

Ages are calculated as of 31 December of the snapshot's own year, not today. A 2018 record keeps its 2018 age rather than drifting upward as time passes.

Administrative boundaries on the map, and the English spellings of place names, come from the COD-AB Lebanon boundary dataset published on the Humanitarian Data Exchange by OCHA, sourced from Lebanon's Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR). It is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution IGO 3.0 (CC BY-IGO 3.0).

Elector counts are never written into the boundary files. The shapes and the numbers are fetched separately and combined on your device: the boundaries are open data and stay open, and the register is not published as part of them.

Version 1.1 corrects the licence given for the map boundaries. Version 1.0 stated the Open Database Licence (ODbL); the dataset is CC BY-IGO 3.0.
